Mudbath
Due to Supreme Court order Kambala races were withheld in Coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. On 15th Dec 2014, The Karnataka High Court gave an interim order , allowing Kambala, traditional slush track buffalo race, in various locations of Coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi during this season. Justice S. Abdul Nazeer passed the interim order by staying the decisions of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district administrations, which had denied permission for “Kambala”. All the Kambala races are rescheduled as per the new Time table.
Here is the Modified Time table of Kambala Races which are going held in Dakshina Kannada Udupi & Kasargod Districts during year 2014-15. These are the dates announced by District Kambala Committee. Please note dates are subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances. Please note all races in every Kambala starts early in the morning and goes non-stop for 24-36 hours.
