The year 2018 was a very fruitful year for me. I am very grateful to you, all my friends and for all who encouraged me and and this blog – Krishna Mohan Photography. I thank you from my heart for having taken the time to follow my meanderings. The blog saw a phenomenal rise in readership with over 52 million hits this year. Despite people moving away from my type of blogs to larger social media sites. I shifted to a new secure server which has helped me to manage this heavy load effectively.
Creative Focus – an initiative I started to help aspiring photographers to gain a better and concise understanding of skills and technique behind the art of photography has blossomed into most sought-after photography learning course in Mangalore.
Under Creative Focus for the last 3 years I have conducted over 87 hands on, one to one learning experience workshops on various topics like Understanding Light, Post processing using Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop, Macro photography, Panoramic & Slow Shutter speed capture of landscapes, Non-studio as well as Studio portrait photography. I was happy to be associated with TGIS, Bangalore and conducted few workshops for them. I also conducted several workshops and photo walks both in Mangalore as well as Bangalore this year.
Our free, photo critique forum on Facebook, The Creative Focus Photo-critic Group held lots of very interesting discussions on various topics of the photography, with very active participation from over 3700 members to become a learning hub of photography.
In 2019, I am conducting 2-day Macro Photography workshop at Kolkata in January. I am also taking a 10-member photography tour to Iceland & Amsterdam. I am planning to expand full-day hands-on intimate workshop on over 30 specialized photography topics like product photography, food photography, astrophotography, light painting etc., under Creative Focus initiative. I am also planning to take long-term one to one mentorship through video chat and interactive chat.
It’s a New Year and with it comes a fresh opportunity to shape our world. I wish all the negativity and difficulties also to end with this year. Let us make positivity viral and let New Year 2019 bring success and desired results for you.
