Today’s blog is on the blog itself! I have slightly tweaked this blog codes and improved the overall speed. One of the main issues I was facing was in the mobile version of the blog. With over 60% people viewing my blog from mobile phone and its browser, I had to optimise my blog for small screen while making sure that these viewers get the same features as the normal desktop browser.

Even though the earlier version of the blog had responsive page settings, two of its elements were not resizing well on mobile phones – the Logo & the share bar. Share bar was my own coding in JavaScript and PHP, it had issue resizing to the mobile screen page despite trying various CSS tricks. Finally, I resorted to a new share bar from simple-share-buttons plus which does an impressive job without being too heavy on loading. It is the set of buttons which help you share this post on social media websites. On the desktop it will be floating on the left edge of the screen and in mobile, you can see it at the bottom edge.

Now the logo also gets resized correctly. The settings have so far working well on both desktops as well as a mobile browser. If you find any issues while browsing or any hitch in overall design, please let me know in the comments below.

With over 25,000 page visits per month and 12,000 new users per month, it is really overwhelming response all my readers. It is your enthusiasm which has pushed me to produce more content and better photos.

  1. Much needed….

Any website or blog must be optimised for mobile users as most of the people today are browsing the net from their mobile devices.
